The patented innovation driving the development of AOI is a collaboration between Dr. Alexander Martin Clark Jr. and Dr. Laurel Kuxhaus.

Dr. Clark is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and ASSISTANT Chief of Surgery at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, Connecticut. He studied medicine at Columbia University where he also did his residency. He completed a fellowship in Knee, Shoulder, and Hip Surgery & Sports Medicine at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado.

Dr. Kuxhaus is a Bioengineer (PhD, University of Pittsburgh) with expertise in all areas of orthopaedic biomechanics and a long history of clinician collaboration. The breadth of her work includes upper extremity function, vertebral fractures, and a history of studying lower extremity implantable medical devices DESIGNED IN CONJUCTION WITH DR. CLARK.
