The world's first patient-specific intramedullary nail

Our mission is to add value to the entire IM nailing supply chain: Cost savings for hospitals, clinics and manufacturers; simplification of the inventory management and device implementation processes; and improved outcomes for patients through patient-specific treatment.

The patented innovation driving the development of AOI is a collaboration between Dr. Alexander Martin Clark Jr. and Dr. Laurel Kuxhaus.

Dr. Clark is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and Chief of Surgery at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, Connecticut. He studied medicine at Columbia University where he also did his residency and researched ACL repair. He completed a fellowship in Knee, Shoulder, and Hip Surgery & Sports Medicine at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado.

Dr. Kuxhaus is a Bioengineer (PhD, University of Pittsburgh) with expertise in all areas of orthopaedic biomechanics and a long history of clinician collaboration. The breadth of her work includes upper extremity function, vertebral fractures, and a history of studying lower extremity implantable medical devices.
